Bio
Dr. John Murphy is a board-certified radiologist with Orlando Health Medical Group Radiology serving Central Florida patients since 2005. His specialty is neuroradiology. His diagnostic imaging experience covers:
- X-rays
- CT scans
- MRIs
- Ultrasounds
Dr. Murphy treats every patient as if they were a family member and believes that the most rewarding experience as a doctor is being able help others in their time of need.
Dr. Murphy’s Training
Dr. Murphy earned his medical degree from the Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus. While earning his medical degree, he taught clinical gross anatomy to undergraduate students and was awarded a fellowship in transplant and organ donation research for the Lifeline of Ohio Organ Procurement Organization. He completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and a neuroradiology fellowship at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

Dr. Murphy is certified in diagnostic radiology and neuroradiology by the American Board of Radiology. He is a member of the American Society of Neuroradiology and Radiological Society of North America.
Outside of work, he enjoys participating in sports and traveling.

Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
- They may practice in a specialty or office that has not yet implemented the specified surveys used for these ratings.
