Located in the Orlando Health Medical Group Infectious Disease offices in Downtown Orlando, board-certified infectious disease physician Sunanda Mangraj, MD, provides comprehensive services for the diagnosis and treatment of conditions caused by microbes such as bacteria, fungi, viruses and protozoans and larger agents of disease. He is a recognized expert and specializes in providing diagnoses and treatment of complex conditions.

As a board-certified specialist in infectious disease, Dr. Sunanda Mangraj provides expert, attentive care to patients with temporary or life-long infection. In conjunction with a multidisciplinary team, he diagnoses and manages these complicated infections and conditions.

Orlando Health Medical Group Infectious Disease is comprised of compassionate healthcare professionals, including physicians who are all board-certified and fellowship-trained in infectious diseases. Our physicians are recognized experts, specializing in providing diagnoses and treatment of complex conditions such as hepatitis, pneumonia, meningitis and AIDS. Services are provided on both an inpatient and outpatient basis, through collaborative physician consultation, allowing patients to receive the highest quality of care.

Providing Comprehensive Services

Patients are referred to Orlando Health Medical Group Infectious Disease for our comprehensive services when they have an infection that is difficult to diagnosis or is not responding to treatment provided by their primary care physician or another specialist. Our services include:

  • Antibiotic therapy
  • Outpatient antimicrobial therapy
  • Management of patients with HIV and AIDS, including education
  • Management of chronic hepatitis B and C
  • Management of infectious complications during chemotherapy
  • Evaluation of patients on anti-TNF (tumor necrosis factor) therapy — screening and management of complications
  • Adult immunizations
  • Wound management

Conditions We Treat

Dr. Mangraj and the team at Orlando Health Medical Group Infectious Disease work together to diagnose and treat more than 30 temporary or chronic infections. Examples of the conditions we treat include more well-known diseases such as HIV, AIDS, Hepatitis B and C, and Lyme disease and lesser-known diseases such as refractory H. pylori, endovascular infections, and multi-drug resistant infections.
