Howard Phillips Center Volunteer Adult Service Areas
The Healing Tree offers crisis counseling, on-going individual and/or group therapy and other resources. Recognized as one of Florida's premier providers of specialized counseling for survivors of child abuse, The Healing Tree's counselors combine their expertise with genuine warmth and compassion to facilitate the healing process. Days and times for volunteering can vary based on families’ needs, but the most need is generally on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5-7pm. Volunteers will be helping with:

Perry Pavilion Hospitality Home: A Legacy of Compassion
It has not been unusual to find family members of the patients at Dr. P. Phillips Hospital sleeping in the waiting areas, hallways or patient rooms throughout the hospital because they are afraid to leave the premises when a loved one is critically ill. Other family members remain at the hospital because they cannot afford an extended stay in a nearby hotel. Dr. P. Phillips Hospital is committed to helping these family members. This is why the Cynthia C. & William E. Perry Pavilion is so important. The pavilion serves the needs of hundreds of families each year.

The volunteer Services office offers volunteer opportunities here at South Seminole Hospital and at the UF Health Cancer Center Infusion located in Lake Mary. There are several different types of Adult volunteer opportunities throughout the hospital listed below. Please note that there may be opportunities not included below but may still be available. If you are interested in volunteering with a department that is not included in the list below, you may bring this to our attention directly and we will try to accommodate you.
