Comprehensive Care for Conditions of the Chest, Lungs and Esophagus
At the Rod Taylor Thoracic Center at Orlando Health Cancer Institute, our specialized physicians provide proven treatments for all types of thoracic (chest) conditions. These include lung and esophagus cancers, as well as noncancerous thoracic conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
We are pioneers in offering the latest thoracic diagnostic and treatment options, including immunotherapy, robotic surgery, advanced radiation therapy, the LINX® device to treat GERD and clinical trial treatments. We are also the first in Florida to offer the specialized robotic bronchoscopy for a new level of precision in detecting and diagnosing lung cancer.
More than 90 percent of our thoracic surgeries are performed minimally invasive, allowing our patients to recover faster with less pain and trauma.
Our interdisciplinary group of experts includes thoracic surgeons, oncologists, radiation oncologists, pulmonologists, gastroenterologists and more. Your personalized team works with you and your family to ensure you receive the care you need — from an accurate diagnosis to the best possible treatment.
Comprehensive care we provide includes nutritional support, education and integrative medicine options. Our whole-person approach focuses on your individual needs and concerns, helping you maintain a high quality of life throughout your thoracic treatment and beyond.
