Joanne Thio, MD
Joanne earned her medical degree from Touro University Nevada in Las Vegas, NV. She stayed in Las Vegas to complete her pediatric residency at the UNLV Pediatric Residency program. She chose this fellowship at Orlando Health because of the wide variety of pathologies, numerous opportunities for specialized procedures and most importantly the people who have created the most welcoming and supportive learning environment! In her free time, she enjoys living like a tourist, a.k.a. visiting all the theme parks.

Lubna Rahman, MD
Lubna grew up in United Arab Emirates and pursued her medical education there, attending RAK College of Medicine. From there, Lubna completed her pediatric residency at Flushing Hospital in New York. Her interest encompasses general pediatric gastroenterology conditions, with a particular emphasis on inflammatory bowel disease and motility disorders. In her time outside of work, she loves cooking, interior design and spending quality time with family.

My name is Justin Baba, and I was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. After earning a bachelor’s degree in microbiology and cell science from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) in Gainesville, I attended medical school at St. George’s University in Grenada in the Caribbean. I completed my pediatric residency at the Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital in Macon, Georgia.

S. Ahsan Rizvi, MD
Dr. Rizvi earned his medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. He completed his residency at the University of Florida at Gainesville. His clinical interests include IBD, EOE, hepatology, functional abdominal pain disorders and mast cell-related disorders. He is currently working on research projects in eosinophil esophagitis and irritable bowel syndrome.

He worked in pediatrics for 8 years in Oman and Ireland before beginning his residency at Brookdale University Hospital in New York.
