Justin Baba, MD

My name is Justin Baba, and I was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. After earning a bachelor’s degree in microbiology and cell science from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) in Gainesville, I attended medical school at St. George’s University in Grenada in the Caribbean. I completed my pediatric residency at the Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital in Macon, Georgia.

Throughout my childhood, I have always been interested in gastrointestinal conditions, as multiple family members have had some challenging diagnoses. Then, during my residency, I was able to see a wide variety of gastrointestinal diseases, including some rarer pediatric cases. I enjoyed my away rotation experience at Orlando Health as a resident and even got to work with the fellows on a liver disease research project. Inflammatory bowel disease, hepatology, eosinophilic esophagitis and nutrition are some of my interests within the subspecialty. I am so excited to start my fellowship training at Orlando Health with an opportunity to learn a wide variety of procedures, have a great supportive team and see diverse pathology.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking, traveling and cooking. While I love exploring different cultures across the world, I cannot wait to start serving my hometown community and provide the best care to your child.
