Orlando Health’s flagship hospital is equipped to handle any major or minor emergency. Our team of emergency physicians are all board certified in Emergency Medicine and stand ready 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The emergency services we offer include:

  • 24/7 emergency care
  • Board certified emergency medicine physicians
  • Fast track area for less emergent care
  • Cardiac (heart) monitoring
  • Dedicated cardiac/respiratory resuscitation room
  • Diagnostic imaging including CT scan, MRI, ultrasound and X-ray
  • Full-service laboratory
  • Nurses certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and have advanced training in trauma

When to Visit an Emergency Room

As the regions only Level I Trauma Center, Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medica Center (ORMC) is designed to handle life- or limb-threatening conditions. Visit ORMC if you or a loved one experience:

  • Broken or dislocated bones
  • Chest pain
  • Deep cuts or burns
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Seizures
  • Serious allergic reactions
  • Severe trouble breathing

Designated Teaching Facility

ORMC is a statutory teaching facility, a designation granted to hospitals with at least 100 or more full-time equivalent resident physicians in seven or more different graduate medical education programs. The programs must be accredited by the Council of Postdoctoral Training of the American Osteopathic Association or the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.
