Services are offered in a dedicated and recently expanded 6,000 square feet outpatient therapy suite outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment. - AlterG™ Anti-Gravity Treadmill with differential air pressure enabling partial weight-bearing therapy
- Certified therapists to provide a full range of services, from orthopedic sports injuries to stroke rehabilitation

Physical Therapy
Treats a variety of sports-related and orthopedic conditions. Also treats balance and physical impairments due to stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis (MS) and other neurological disorders.
Occupational Therapy
Enhances daily living skills by helping to gain strength, coordination, motor control and cognitive skills.
Speech Language Pathology Therapy
Addresses a variety of communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders to enhance quality of life.
Certified Hand Therapy and Splinting
Provides care for hand wounds, scars, burns, fractures and related injuries and problems.
Rehabilitation Service for Oncology and Lymphedema

Certified Hand Therapy
“Hand therapy is the art and science of rehabilitation of the upper extremity of the human body. Hand therapists are occupational therapists or physical therapists who, through extra training and experience, have specialized knowledge of upper extremity function. Using specialized skills in assessment and treatment, hand therapists work with their clients to prevent injury or impairment, restore functional activity, and enhance participation in daily life.” – American Society of Hand Therapists/Hand Therapy Certification Commission. Our certified hand therapists provide postoperative rehabilitation as well as preventive, nonoperative or conservative evaluations and treatments for upper extremity injuries and/or dysfunctions. They work closely with physicians and patients to provide a continuum of care in a timely fashion. Therapy often starts within days of injury or surgery and continues through the patient’s return to work and/or a productive lifestyle.

Rehabilitation Service for Oncology and Lymphedema
The increase of cancer incidence and survival rates has created a new awareness of the need for rehabilitation services. At Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital Outpatient Rehabilitation, our Oncology Rehabilitation programs provide comprehensive treatment and education for patients who are currently undergoing cancer treatment or have developed complications following their cancer treatment. This specialized rehabilitation program was developed to facilitate and maximize healing. We strive to restore our patients back to independence, so they can actively participate in their normal daily activities.
At Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital Outpatient Rehabilitation, we offer comprehensive lymphedema therapy performed by certified lymphedema therapists. After a thorough evaluation, an individualized treatment plan will be developed in collaboration with the patient, family and healthcare professionals. Therapy may include the following:
- Manual lymph drainage techniques
- Compression therapy
- Exercises
- Education for the patient, family and caregivers to prepare them for self-management and prevention
We offer additional therapy services for oncology patients which may include:
- Neurological programs
- Scar tissue management
- Therapeutic exercise to improve mobility, increase endurance and decrease fatigue
- Pain management
- Patient and family education
- Pre- and post-operative Vascularized Lymph Node Transfer (VLNT) program
