Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute expands to Tampa Bay
20 orthopedic and sports medicine physicians with Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health are joining Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute
St. Petersburg, FL (July 14, 2025) – The Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute is pleased to welcome a group of esteemed orthopedic and sports medicine physicians to its team, further expanding its nationally recognized orthopedic care across Florida’s east and west coasts, including the Tampa Bay area. As leaders in patient care excellence, innovation, and medical education, the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute is committed to advancing orthopedic and sports medicine care in these communities.
On the west coast of Florida, 20 physicians, along with 16 physician assistants with Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health are joining the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute team. Existing orthopedic clinic locations in Brandon, North Tampa, South Tampa, Wiregrass, and Zephyrhills will be rebranded as Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute in the coming months. The St. Petersburg orthopedic clinic location is set to move to the Orlando Health Medical Pavilion – Institute Square campus this fall, reopening as Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute.
Along Florida’s east coast, the orthopedic practices and physicians who joined Orlando Health following its recent acquisition of Steward Health Care’s east Central Florida locations are now part of the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute team, bringing the institute’s exceptional orthopedic and sports medicine care to Melbourne, Sebastian, and Vero Beach. Six physicians, along with seven physician assistants, are part of this transition.

The Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute Downtown Complex is Florida’s first dedicated orthopedic hospital, providing advanced orthopedic care to over 320,000 patients annually.
