Two Years of Transformation: Orlando Health Continues to Expand Care, Invest and Build for the Future
EAST REGION, Fl (October 26, 2026) — Two years after bringing Orlando Health's nationally recognized healthcare system to Florida's East Coast, the organization is marking a period of transformation, growth and investment across Brevard and Indian River counties. Since acquiring local hospitals and physician practices in 2024, Orlando Health has expanded access to specialized care, upgraded facilities and technology, strengthened clinical programs and deepened its commitment to the communities it serves.
"The past two years have been about more than investing dollars into buildings and equipment," said Ohme Entin, president, Orlando Health East Region. “They have been about building a stronger healthcare system for this community, expanding access, delivering exceptional care, and earning the trust of the patients and families we are privileged to serve. What excites me most is where we are headed. We continue to bring expanded services, advanced treatments, facility enhancements, and continued growth that will give patients even more reasons to choose Orlando Health.”
The hospital system remains committed to its long-term vision, including plans to invest more than $750 million in the region, which includes a new hospital in Viera as well as expanding physician access points and primary care physician services over the coming years.
"Healthcare is constantly evolving, and our investments in technology, equipment and clinical capabilities are helping us deliver safer, more efficient and higher-quality care," said Dr. Michael McLaughlin, chief medical officer for the Orlando Health East Region. "From advanced diagnostic tools to expanded patient care areas, these improvements directly support our physicians, clinical teams and, most importantly, the patients who entrust us with their care. I truly believe our quality of care at Orlando Health Melbourne Hospital and Orlando Health Sebastian River Hospital is stronger than ever."
