Orlando, FL (July 23, 2026) – Orlando Health Children’s Arnold Palmer Hospital has been awarded on Newsweek’s list of America’s Best Children’s Hospitals 2026. This prestigious award is presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc., the leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider. The award list was announced on June 3rd, 2026, and can be viewed on the Newsweek website.
The hospital ranked 35th in the nation and number one in Florida for pediatric cardiology and cardiac surgery.
The America’s Best Children’s Hospitals 2026 ranking awards the best hospitals in eight pediatric subspecialties: Cardiology & Cardiac Surgery, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology & Gastrointestinal Surgery, Neonatology, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Oncology, Orthopedics and Pulmonology. The underlying data analysis is based on four data sources:
Nationwide Online Survey: Over ten thousand medical experts with knowledge about pediatric care (e.g., general and specialized pediatricians and nurses) were asked to recommend leading children’s hospitals in the U.S.
Hospital Quality Metrics: Hospital quality metrics with a focus on indicators relevant to the respective subspecialties and accreditations/certifications were considered.
Patient Satisfaction: Evaluations from Google were researched for each children’s hospital as a proxy for patient satisfaction with the hospital.
Statista Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMS) Implementation Survey: Newsweek and Statista conduct an annual PROMs Implementation Survey to account for the increasing importance of Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs).
