Coming Soon: Orlando Health Emergency Room and Medical Pavilion - Horizon West

Residents of Horizon West and surrounding communities in southwest Orange County will have access to close-to-home emergency when the first phase of the Orlando Health Medical Campus at Horizon West opens in spring 2018, followed by construction of a new hospital to serve the area. The 37-acre campus is located near State Road 429 and New Independence Lane.

Orlando Health is partnering with the West Orange Healthcare District in building the campus to expand healthcare services for the growing southwest Orange County communities.

Phase one of the project, scheduled to begin construction in fall 2017, calls for a two-story, 78,000-square-foot freestanding emergency department. The first floor of the ER facility will have 16 patient rooms, with the second floor dedicated to medical office space.

In phase two, to begin construction in spring 2018, a six-level, 214,000-square-foot hospital will be built, adjoining the emergency department. The hospital will include 103 inpatient beds, outpatient diagnostic and laboratory services, as well as additional space for primary care physicians and specialists.
