A cardiovascular PET is a noninvasive procedure that uses radioactive tracers to quickly discover if your heart is getting enough blood or if blood flow is reduced. It can also show dead cells from a previous heart attack. Our team will be able to use the results of this test to determine if you need a cardiac procedure or surgery to restore your blood flow.
Our team of cardiologists and specialists, including imaging cardiologists, may decide to perform a cardiovascular PET to find the cause of your symptoms, which may include damage from a heart attack or coronary artery disease.
