Orlando Health Sebastian River Hospital Connects with Community at Sebastian Touch & Tour
SEBASTIAN, Fl. (September 15, 2026) – Orlando Health participated in the City of Sebastian’s Touch & Tour event Sept. 12 at the City Hall Complex, joining local organizations, first responders and city departments for a day of community engagement and education.
The event featured interactive exhibits, city vehicles, public safety demonstrations, museum tours and family-friendly activities. Orlando Health showcased its Arnold Palmer Hospital (APH) for Children pediatric acute and critical care transport ambulance, which serves as a mobile pediatric ICU, allowing critical care to continue while a child is being transported. The event provided families and their kids an opportunity to step inside this vehicle and learn more about the hospital services while connecting with local team members. The hospital also handed out branded ambulance shaped cold packs as take home gifts.

Fun facts about the Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children Transport Ambulance:
APH ambulances are stocked with toys, stuffed animals, sensory tools, weighted blankets, and noise-canceling headphones to help keep children calm and comfortable during transport.
The transport team serves pediatric patients throughout Florida and beyond, helping connect children with specialized care when and where they need it.
Most transport ambulances can accommodate two pediatric patients at the same time when necessary.
Each transport crew includes specially trained pediatric transport professionals experienced in caring for critically ill infants and children.
In addition to the Orlando Health APH ambulance, residents got to engage with staff alongside various city vehicles, explaining their purpose and utilization. The vehicles included a Dump Truck, a Vacuum Truck, an Excavator, a Side-Arm, a Bucket Truck as well as a Fire Truck and a Police Departments SWAT vehicle.
There was also a 5K run for first responders earlier in the day, music in the courtyard of City Hall, artwork, quilt works and embroidery on display at the art center and the Historical Building gave tours of the museum.
