Preparing for Your First Virtual Visit
We offer convenient virtual care visits. You can have an appointment with an Orlando Health doctor online in the privacy and comfort of your home. You can use a web browser on your computer or an app on your tablet or mobile device.
When you schedule your appointment, your care team will send you more information on how to log in and complete your virtual appointment.
How to install the software:
- Go to the Apple Store or Google Play Store on your computer, tablet or mobile device
- Search Microsoft Teams
- Install the app
List of your current medications, including names, dosages and how often you take each medication (all prescribed medications, herbal supplements and over-the-counter medications)
How to access your virtual visit:
- Open your confirmation email. You should open your confirmation email 15 minutes before your scheduled virtual visit. The original confirmation email will have the subject “Confirmed: Video Visit.” If you did not receive an email, please first check your spam folder or contact your physician’s office.
- Once you open the confirmation email, click on the “Join Teams” meeting link located within the email.
- You may be prompted to open the Teams app. Tap “Join as a guest,” type in your first and last name and then tap “Join meeting.”
- If you are accessing the Virtual Visit with your Windows or Mac PC, select “Join on the web” instead to continue to the next step.
- Be sure to allow access to your camera and microphone whenever asked, so you can see and speak to your doctor.
- When you join the Teams virtual appointment, you will be placed in a virtual waiting lobby. An Orlando Health team member will admit you to the virtual appointment shortly. Please stay in the virtual lobby.
- Once you have been admitted into the virtual appointment, you will see the live video stream from our Orlando Health team member, and they should be able to see you.
- If you are having any problems, you can quickly troubleshoot by checking the camera, microphone or speaker icons on the bottom of your screen.

You should log in 15 minutes before your first scheduled appointment online. We will discuss the reason for your visit, your current medications and any symptoms you may have.
During your online appointment, your doctor may recommend additional tests or treatments. If you need tests, we will schedule them as soon as possible.
