Proton therapy is useful for cancers that have not spread and for tumors that are located near organs or other structures that are sensitive to radiation.

 

Your multidisciplinary team at Orlando Health Cancer Institute will evaluate your case and determine if proton therapy is right for you, based upon tumor type, size, location and other factors. Treatment may include proton therapy alone or in combination with chemotherapy, radiation therapy and/or other targeted therapies.
