Dr. Thais Queliz joined Orlando Health in 2016 and is a neonatologist at Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies.

He earned his medical degree from Universidad Iberoamericana in the Dominican Republic and completed his pediatric residency at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in New York, a program affiliated with Weill Cornell. He then completed fellowship training in neonatal perinatal medicine at the University of South Florida, where he served as chief fellow. He is board certified in pediatrics and neonatal perinatal medicine.

Dr. Queliz also completed a Master of Healthcare Quality and Safety and an Executive Master of Science in Healthcare Administration at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. His work focuses on neonatal quality improvement, evidence-based protocols, and advancing clinical care for high-risk newborns. He has been published in multiple peer reviewed journals and has presented his research at national conferences.
