Dr. Sotomayor was born in Arequipa Peru, where she completed her education from elementary school through medical school.
After completing my internship and a year of social service, she pursued a master’s degree as she prepared for training in pediatrics in the U.S.
Dr. Sotomayor completed her pediatrics residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago and her neonatology fellowship at Texas Children's Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
After graduation, she practiced in Hattiesburg Mississippi for five years. After relocating to Michigan, she began working with Pediatrix in Saginaw. She joined Orlando Health Winnie Palmer in 2020.
