Dr. Cuestas was born in Bogota, Colombia and came to the U.S. when she was 16 years old. She considers Miami to be her hometown. She always knew that she wanted to be a pediatrician since she was a little girl.
She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa. She then traveled to Omaha, Nebraska where she earned her medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine. Even though she loves Omaha, she had enough of the cold and snow and moved back home to do a residency in pediatrics at Miami Children's Hospital. During her second year, she decided to become a neonatologist, moving to Houston to complete her neonatology fellowship at Texas Children's Hospital.
Dr. Cuestas joined the NICU at Orlando Health Winnie Palmer in August 2020. She is interested in ECMO, CDH, and pulmonary hypertension. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, working out, going to the beach, reading and dancing.
