Why APH? It might be a cliché, but what truly set this program apart for me was the people. During my month-long rotation, I was welcomed with such warmth and support that I immediately felt a sense of belonging. I grew tremendously during that time and could clearly see how this environment would help shape me into the kind of physician I hope to become. I also met several program leaders who later interviewed me, and each conversation felt genuine and relaxed, more like talking with friends than a formal interview. That sense of connection confirmed this was the right place for me. Being close to my family in Orlando was an added bonus that made the decision even more meaningful.
