Faris M Al Mousily, MD

Faris Al-Mousily, MD, is a physician at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. He is board certified in pediatrics, pediatric cardiology and adult congenital heart disease, with training and certification in cardiac MRI.
Dr. Al-Mousily earned his medical degree from Al-Mustansiriya University College of Medicine in Baghdad, Iraq. He completed a pediatric residency at the University of Florida Health Science Center, Jacksonville, and a fellowship at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Gainesville Division of Pediatric Cardiology.
Before joining Arnold Palmer Hospital, Dr. Al-Mousily practiced inpatient and outpatient pediatrics for seven years in Brevard County, Florida. He served on the faculty of the University of Florida from 2006 to 2017, Division of Pediatric Cardiology including five years as a pediatric cardiology consultant with the UF Health, Department of Radiology. He was also director of Pediatric Cardiac MRI at the UF Health, Congenital Heart Center from 2008-2010. He was promoted to associate professor in 2015.
Dr. Al-Mousily’s clinical interests include cardiac MRI, valvular heart disease and treating adults with congenital heart disease. Dr. Al-Mousily is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance and the Adult Congenital Heart Association.
Dr. Al-Mousily is fluent in both Arabic and English.
