At Orlando Health, we believe are committed to helping people receive the care they need, when and where they need it. Orlando Health Telecare Nurse Triage has been providing after-hours triage services for more than 20 years to both affiliated and nonaffiliated physician practices. By offering timely access to a registered nurse, we work to ensure your patients receive quick and accurate answers to their questions and appropriate care advice to address any concerns. Our triage services cover pediatric, adult, OB-GYN and other specialties.

How It Works

Seamless Setup for Your Practice:

  • Arrange for your preferred answering service to route after-hours calls to our Telecare team.
  • Establish your practice’s preferences for notifications.
  • We set up a customized account for your practice.

Efficient Encounter Process:

  • After-hours calls are directed to the answering service of choice.
  • The answering service collects patient information and concerns; then faxes them to our Telecare nurse triage team.
  • Calls are prioritized and handled in the order they are received.
  • Our triage nurse contacts the patient/parent/caregiver.
  • Patients are triaged using evidence-based protocols.
  • Following each call, we fax a detailed report of the patient encounter to your practice.

Hours of Service

  • Monday to Thursday  |  5:00 pm to 8:00 am
  • Weekends  |  Friday Noon to Monday 8:00 am
  • Holidays  |  8:00 am day of the holiday to 8:00 am the following day for holidays occurring Monday through Friday
    Holidays include New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
