Ricardo Villasmil, MD

Dr. Ricardo Villasmil was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela. He earned his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean and completed his internal medicine residency training at the Florida State University College of Medicine at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Villasmil has published and presented peer-reviewed manuscripts and abstracts in the field of internal medicine and cardiology. His academic interests include interventional cardiology, echocardiography, and heart failure. Outside of work, Dr. Villasmil enjoys spending time with his family, running, and traveling.
