Imran S. Farooq, MD

Dr. Farooq is a member of the American Medical Association and certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology; Board of Nuclear Cardiology in nuclear cardiology; and Alliance for Physician Certification and Advancement in vascular interpretation. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
Dr. Farooq is an assistant professor at the University of Central Florida, a frequent presenter at meetings and conferences, and an accomplished author whose work has appeared in many peer-reviewed publications. He is fluent in English, Urdu and Hindi.
In 2016, Dr. Farooq was invited by Sheikha Mozza, Queen of Qatar, to return to Qatar as a distinguished alumni of Weill Cornell Medical College to discuss healthcare policy and increasing the growth of medical education in Doha, the country’s capital.
When not caring for patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife, who is also a physician, and their three daughters. Other interests include jogging and working out.
