Darla Quevedo, Pharm.D.

Dr. Darla Quevedo, from Apopka, FL, received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida in 2021. As a PGY-1 pharmacy resident at Orlando Health, Dr. Quevedo will participate in multidisciplinary patient-care rounds and monthly code coverage. She will complete a research project evaluating the use of fosaprepitant in reducing post-operative nausea and vomiting in bariatric surgery patients. In addition, she will conduct a medication use evaluation assessing the proper use of intravenous iron therapies in women’s triage patients. She will also present a continuing education seminar on drug dosing in critically ill obese patients. Following completion of her residency, Dr. Quevedo plans to pursue a PGY-2 pharmacy residency and a career in clinical pharmacy with a focus in hematology/oncology.
