The Orthopedic APP Fellowship is a 12-month program, consisting of rotations in ortho trauma, total joints, upper extremities, sports medicine, pediatrics, foot/ankle and spine. The goal of the program is to produce highly skilled and competent orthopedic providers that can function in any environment. There will be opportunities to participate in research activities as well as working and learning side by side with the orthopedic residents and orthopedic physician fellows as well.
Curriculum
The program is 12 months in length, consisting of rotations through the following subspecialties of orthopedics:
- Trauma
- Foot/Ankle
- Spine
- Sports Medicine
- Total Joints
- Hand/Upper Extremity
- Pediatrics
- PT/OT/Prosthetics
- Radiology
- 10.Wound Care
- 11.Osteoporosis
- 12.Walk-in/Urgent Care
Each rotation will have a specific set of objectives detailing expected knowledge for completion of rotation. These objectives will be learned through a combination of self-learning, didactic lectures, group lectures, grand rounds and rotational/clinical learning.
- Rotations may include on-call and overnight shifts.
- Other instruction will be provided through simulation labs, cadaver labs, and procedural workshops.
