Joshua Langford, MD
Program Director, Orthopedic Residency
Joshua Langford, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with the Orlando Health Orthopedic Institute. He specializes in orthopedic traumatology as well as complex orthopedic limb salvage and reconstruction.
Dr. Langford earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He then completed an orthopedic residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City followed by a fellowship in orthopedic traumatology at The Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa, Florida.
In addition to managing complex acute orthopedic trauma at Central Florida’s only level one trauma center, Dr. Langford has a unique interest in post-traumatic reconstruction. He also manages post-traumatic conditions including bone infection, limb length discrepancy, deformity, nonunion and post-traumatic arthritis. Dr. Langford has extensive experience in total joint arthroplasty including the utilization of the direct anterior approach for total hip arthroplasty.
Dr. Langford has made multiple scientific presentations nationally and internationally as well as numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals. He serves on the executive board of the Foundation for Orthopedic Trauma and is also on the editorial board of the Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma. He is the Program Director of the Orlando Health Orthopedic Residency Program and the Assistant Program Director of the Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship at Orlando Health.
