Laith Al-Balbissi, MD, FACS, is a vascular surgeon with Orlando Health Heart & Vascular Institute. He is board certified in general surgery and board eligible in vascular surgery. He specializes in open and endovascular interventions and has special interest in aortic disease, cerebrovascular disease and limb salvage. He takes care of hemodialysis access for end-stage renal disease.
Dr. Al-Balbissi earned his medical degree from the University of Jordan, College of Medicine in Amman, Jordan. He then attended East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, where he completed his general surgery residency. After which, he practiced trauma and critical care surgery in Amarillo, Texas before joining the Jobst Vascular Institute in Toledo, Ohio, where he completed his vascular and endovascular surgery fellowship.
He is a member of the Society of Vascular Surgery and Midwestern Vascular Surgical Society and a fellow of the American College of Surgery. Dr. Al-Balbissi is interested in clinical research and has participated in nearly 15 studies.
He is fluent in English, Arabic and conversational French.
