Orlando Health is affiliated with Florida State University College of Medicine, University of Florida College of Medicine, and the University of South Florida College of Medicine. We are also members of the Association of American Medical Colleges, Council of Teaching Hospitals, and the Association for Hospital Medical Education.

Visiting Medical Student Scholarship
The Orlando Health General Surgery Residency Program is committed to fostering diversity across the Orlando Health surgical workforce. We are interested in continuing to recruit residents from diverse backgrounds. As a residency program, the GME department is pleased to offer a travel scholarship for underrepresented minority visiting students. This rotation elective is specifically designed for fourth-year medical students who are interested in pursuing a residency in general surgery. The scholarship is for up to $750.00 in reimbursement for travel and housing during the 4-week elective. The general surgery residency program is happy to be able to match this amount for the individual who receives it.
