Orlando Health Neurosciences

What we sense, what we know, who we are; the workings of our brain define us. In health, our brains function with unyielding extraordinaire, but when problems occur, the results can devastate patients and their families.

Neurological diseases comprise the third-largest world health concern after heart disease and cancer. According to the National Institutes of Health, more than 50 million people in this country, or 1 in 5, endures some problem with the nervous system, and it is a growing concern.

Fortunately, we are at a new frontier of knowledge in which scientific breakthroughs will increasingly provide unprecedented opportunities for treatment. In a truly collaborative effort, we are striving to understand the causes of neurological disease, and striving to bring together the disciplines to transform great science into great medicine.

Our neurosciences physicians and support staff are skillful and experienced not only in treating all types of neurological disorders, but throughout recovery as well. The Orlando Health Rehabilitation Institute provides inpatient and outpatient care for our patients recovering from surgeries or in treatment for Alzheimer’s disease, trigeminal neuralgia, spinal cord injury, epilepsy, brain tumors and injuries, and stroke.
